A Peek Inside Chicago’s New Bioscience Incubator

CHICAGO― Governor Quinn, along with officials from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) and the Illinois Medical District (IMD), announced the creation of “Health, Technology, Innovation (HTI) at Technology Park” ― a 12,000-square-foot lab and office space that will serve as an incubator for Chicago’s bioscience startup community.

Governor Quinn says that the $3.4 million incubator will help to create jobs, not only for construction workers currently building the facility, but also for the scientists, clinicians, and engineers who will work at HTI Technology Park to “create the nexus for an interdisciplinary approach to drug, diagnostic, medical device and information technology development.” ❒
